Your Off-Grid Natural Medicine Chest: No Bullshit Guide

Off-grid? You don't have a pharmacist 5 mins away. So you build a natural medicine chest. Simple. No fancy stuff. Just what works when the power's out and the nearest clinic's 2 hours away.

Herbal Remedies: The Bare Minimum

Don't waste space on 20 herbs. Stick to these five. They cover 90% of common off-grid issues.

Essential Oils: One Bottle, Many Jobs

Don't buy 10 bottles. Get these three. They're the only ones you need.

Where to Buy (No Markups)
- The Herb Garden (NSW): Best prices, bulk discounts. Order online, pick up at their Sydney store.
- Essential Oils Australia (VIC): Direct from growers. No middlemen. Shipping $8.95.
Don't waste cash on "wellness" stores. They charge 3x more.

Practical Tips: How to Actually Use This

1. Store smart: Keep everything in a sealed, dark glass jar. Not plastic. Sunlight ruins oils. Put it in a cupboard, not on a windowsill.

2. Make your own salve: Mix 1 tbsp beeswax + 2 tbsp coconut oil + 10 drops tea tree oil. Melt in a double boiler. Lasts 6 months. Don't use Vaseline – it traps bacteria.

3. Test first: Always do a patch test on your inner arm before using oils on skin. If it stings, rinse off. No point risking a rash when you're 100km from a doctor.

4. Replace yearly: Herbs lose potency after 18 months. Oils after 2 years. Write the date on the bottle. Simple.

Always check local regulations and obtain necessary permits before commencing work.
